Unvented Hot Water

Unvented hot water systems allow all draw off points within a system to be supplied with high pressure hot and cold water. In the region of 3 bar, with a flow rate of at least 20 litres / minute. This can bring some excellent benefits.

• Removes the necessity of a large cold water storage cistern in a loft space.
• Good flow rates from taps/showers, without the need for a noisy pump.
• Balanced hot and cold high pressure water at all taps, allowing most modern continental taps to be used.

The cost of materials and installation is usually higher than than for a conventional system and regular maintenance is required. Also in some cases you may require a new pipe being laid from the water main in the street.

They make an excellent alternative to a combination boiler, as they deliver better pressure and flow rates through the hot tap, and performance is not seriously compromised when two or more taps are open.

They're perfect for flats and other properties where storage cisterns cannot be sited high enough or there is no space for them, or where a dry loft is desirable.
